Shipping

We send all our parcels by express services with full tracking. Our shipping partners are:

  • International: DHL express
  • Domestic (NZ): Courier Post (part of New Zealand Post)

Shipping charges

When you place an order, you will see estimated shipping costs. These are only estimates and may differ from the actual shipping cost which is ultimately calculated on both size and weight of the carton. We will charge you actual shipping costs, which can only be determined once your order has been packed. We are working with our shipping providers to improve the accuracy of our estimated shipping costs.

You will receive tracking information for your shipment directly from the courier company.

Free Shipping

We offer free shipping for larger orders:

  • International: orders over $1000 NZD*
  • Domestic (NZ): orders over $500

*Please note that for international orders, any duties and taxes will still be payable by you on the arrival of the goods into your country.

Duty and Taxes

International orders will be subject to any import duties and taxes levied in the destination country.  Where possible these costs are displayed in your cart at checkout and we can collect those taxes and remit them via our shipping partner. Where this is not set up, duties and tariffs must be paid by the customer directly via DHL on arrival in the destination country. It will be clear at checkout whether the taxes are included or not.

This tariff finder tool can be used to look up the duty rate for your country for the export (from New Zealand) of our products. There may be additional taxes imposed by local countries, however this calculator shows the base duty rate applicable at any time. Our metal miniature products are typically given the HS (the Harmonised System is how trade goods are categorized) code 9503.00.00, which covers scale models. Some of our other products such as boxes or calendars have different HS codes, subject to different tariff rates.

New Zealand has Free Trade Agreements in place with a number of countries, see the link here: FTAs in force as at Jan 2023. These agreements mean that products are free from duty, but they may still be subject to VAT/GST on import depending on the tax rules in the destination country.

We ocassionally attend trade shows outside of New Zealand where you may purchase products from us in person. Pricing on these products is shown in the relevant local currency and includes any local or federal sales taxes.
