Shipping charges
Imperial Productions charges actual shipping rates to customers. Because we currently operate on a make-to-order basis, shipping can be estimated at the time of order, but actual shipping charges will be invoiced to customers when their product is ready for despatch.
Current shipping estimates are:
New Zealand Customers:
All parcels are tracked. We send via Courier Post, with delivery typically overnight.
- North Island approximately $10, Auckland $12.
- South Island approximately $18
- Rural Delivery addresses attract surcharges.
International:
We send Internationally via DHL Express, all tracked. Amounts are affected by volumetric dimensions of the parcel charges as well as weight. Shipping estimates are provided at point of order by the system through a link to DHL.
Example of shipping estimates to the USA are:
- Minimum charge of NZD 30.00
- Approximately NZD 50.00 under 1 kg
- Approximately NZD 70.00 1-2kg.
- Up to 4 kg approximately NZD 120.00
Any international order over NZ $1500 in value attracts free shipping.
Import Duties and Taxes:
Customers will be required to meet any import duties of taxes charged by local agencies on arrival. DHL facilitates this for our customers and will work with you during the shipping process to ensure your shipment is not delayed.
New Zealand has Free Trade Agreements in place with major trading partners (Aus, USA, China, and soon the UK and EU) so fees should be limited in those cases to local sales taxes (VAT/GST). We are investigating the ability to capture sales tax for international sales at the point of payment, but that is not yet available on our site.
COVID-19
Please note that shipping timeframes continue to be adversely impacted by disruption caused by COVID-19 on global and domestic supply chains. Customers should plan for shipments to take longer than normal.
